About Us

World Taijiquan & Qigong Day is an annual worldwide event founded by William and Angela Wong Douglas as a means to promote the mind and body arts. It is their goal to gain a United Nations resolution by the UN General Assembly advocating mind-body education for public education worldwide.

We are a group of Connecticut-based taijiquan and qigong enthusiasts – teachers and students alike – who gather annually on the final Saturday in April, for a free day to celebrate and share these arts. Our goal, in line with the event founders, is to widen taijiquan and qigong’s reach to the public, so that more people can enjoy their extraordinary benefits. We are very proud to have reached our 28th year organizing this event, and look forward to the years to come.
